Polly Quinn Lisičak is a Portland, Oregon-based Videographer, Editor, and Photographer who uses media as a catalyst for deeper community engagement, education, and communication.
She discovered documentary filmmaking during her original pursuit of Education and Social Entrepreneurship; she felt the hands-on, creative, and collaborative process of filmmaking served her mission of furthering unconventional and inclusive learning opportunities—especially for those a traditional classroom leaves behind.
She got her start 10 years ago working with Oregon State Productions and Orange Media Network on documentaries, educational videos, short films, voiceovers, podcasts, commercials, and live TV. Since then, she has continued to work on a similar range of productions as a freelancer and with local film collectives.
No matter the type of production, she loves getting creative with the balance between budget, quality, and a project's purpose—and making people feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Polly draws inspiration from her eclectic upbringing across many Portland schools and neighborhoods, and her time abroad working on social impact projects such as micro-loaning in Nicaragua, educational access in Uganda, and filming with ATSIMS in Australia.
All of her work is process-driven; communicating respectfully throughout each stage, being open to new ideas and ways of doing things, continually checking one’s bias, and always making decisions that serve the bigger picture and project's story. To her, these are all as important as the final film, video, or photo.

When she’s not behind the camera or deep in the edit, Polly and her partner caretake for her grandma and dad alongside her sister and two dear friends in a beautiful, chaotic, makeshift Croatian family commune in SE Portland. Together, they grow food, raise chickens, swap dog-sitting for grandma check-ins, and help each other when they fall (literally). They trade experimental vinegars and food dishes over the back fences, live seasonally, and care deeply about nourishing themselves from the inside out so they can better care for one another and be active members of their community.
